As part of the Grades 5 and 6 Science and Technology course, the students did a hands-on job of identifying liquid substances that had a direct influence on iron oxidation. Of the five liquid substances (tap water, vegetable oil, vinegar, pure water and bleach), the students had to formulate a hypothesis beforehand. The experiment was based on careful observation for five days of all the samples followed by a class discussion about the differences in the results. It was an exciting and informative scientific adventure. Congratulations to all students.
